Buenos Aires:

Paraguay coach Gerardo Martino on Wednesday called up Wigan Athletic defender Antolin Alcaraz to reinforce his backline against holders Brazil in the Copa America on Saturday.

Alcaraz also poses an attacking threat for La Albirroja, as witnessed by his goal in last summer's World Cup draw with Italy.

Martino leaves out youngster Ivan Piris, who was disappointing in the opening goalless draw with Ecuador and also picked up a booking.

Brazil are determined to take control of Group B after they also could only manage a 0-0 stalemate against traditional whipping boys Venezuela.
