Blackburn-Pune FC match on October 7
The much awaited match between Blackburn Rovers and Pune FC will take place on October 7. In a release on Monday, the Indian club annoucned that the exhibition match will take place at the Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex.

The much awaited match between Blackburn Rovers and Pune FC will take place on October 7. In a release on Monday, the Indian club annoucned that the exhibition match will take place at the Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex.
Teh match was earlier scheduled to take place on July 11 but had to be posponed due to the Mumbai attacks. Pune FC director Nandan Piramal though, said that he is confident of the match taking place this time. "We are very happy to host them (Blackburn Rovers). The opportunity is great for the fans and on Pune FC's behalf I am happy to share this moment with the fans."
The Premier League club is owned by India's poultry company Venky and recently defeated Arsenal after a series of defeats that led to fans protesting and demanding for the resignation of coach Steve Kean. Indian fans though have a high-class match in the offing.
The match will be played under artificial lights though the exact timings have not yet been announced.
