Braunschweig:
Bayern Munich beat second-division club Eintracht Braunschweig 3-0 in the first round of the German Cup.
Bayern took control of Monday's match with a ninth-minute penalty from Mario Gomez and another in the 39th by Bastian Schweinsteiger - both from fouls on Thomas Mueller.
Mueller himself scored in the 83rd minute to round off the victory.
Jupp Heynckes, returning for a third stint as Bayern coach, was without injured wingers Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben. But his team never looked in danger of joining the four Bundesliga sides dumped out of the cup by lower-division opponents in the first round.
