London:
An English Football Association report says Kolo Toure's obsession with the appearance of his stomach led to him taking banned water tablets that resulted in a six-month doping suspension.
The 16-page report says the Manchester City center back, who cannot play again until Sept. 2, "has had a problem controlling his weight" for some years.
It reads "he has become obsessed with his weight and more particularly the appearance of his belly."
The Ivory Coast international took tablets belonging to his wife, with an FA commission believing his account that he didn't intend to enhance his sporting performance or try to mask taking a performance-enhancing substance.
Toure's ban began on March 2, when his positive drugs test was returned.
