Stern John scored an equaliser in the fourth minute of stoppage time to give Birmingham City a dramatic 2-2 draw at local rivals Aston Villa.

Stern John scored a dramatic last-minute equaliser at Villa Park as Birmingham City came from two goals down to earn a two-all draw with Aston Villa in the Birmingham derby on Sunday. Villa had gone two-nil up, courtesy of goals from Darius Vassell and Thomas Hitz lsperger, but Mikael Forssell pulled one back, before John grabbed the equaliser in the fourth minute of stoppage-time. The draw meant Villa stayed seventh in the English Premier League standings on 37 points, while Birmingham jumped a place to eighth on 36 points. (AP)
