Argentina beat Uruguay in WC qualifier
Argentina displayed their World Cup credentials in beating Uruguay 4-2 in their South American World Cup qualifying match.

Argentina displayed their World Cup credentials in beating Uruguay 4-2 in their South American World Cup qualifying match in Buenos Aires on Saturday.
Luciano Figueroa scored two goals and Luis Gonzalez and Javier Zanetti added one each marking an impressive debut for Argentinan coach Jose Pekerman.
Uruguay scored two consolation goals towards the end of the match but there was little doubt who had dominated the game.
Argentina now lead the group with 18 points from nine games, while Uruguay are tied in fifth place on 10 points. (AP)
