Barcelona's Brazilian defender Dani Alves has extended his contract with the Spanish champions until 2015, the club announced on Tuesday.
"Barcelona has reached an agreement with Dani Alves to extend his contract with the club for the next three seasons, until June 30, 2015," it said in a statement on its website.
"The signing will take place tomorrow, Wednesday."
The 27-year-old Brazil international's current contract runs out in June 2012 and renewal talks had dragged on amid reports of a possible move to Manchester City.
Barcelona-based sports daily Mundo Deportivo reported in January that Alves had turned down the chance of a contract extension to 2015 that would have placed him in the same wage bracket as teammates like captain Carles Puyol.
Alves joined Barcelona in 2008 after six seasons with Sevilla.
