Milan:
Brazil striker Adriano says he wants to stay at Inter Milan.
"I have no intention of going away,'' Adriano said on Tuesday on the club's Web site. "I'm thinking only of Inter and of doing all that I can to win with this shirt.''
The 28-year-old Adriano has been linked with Real Madrid in a player exchange with international teammate Ronaldo, with whom Inter owner Massimo Moratti enjoys a close relationship.
"I'm calm. Moratti is with me and I'm with Inter,'' Adriano said.
Heavily criticised
Adriano was heavily criticised last season for a string of bad performances for Inter in which he went 900 minutes without a goal.
Brazil coach Carlos Alberto Pareira still started him at the World Cup, where he scored two goals.
"I didn't perform to the height of my ability last season,'' Adriano said. "I must work harder, learn to listen and improve where I know I can.''
Competition for places at Inter is expected to increase with Juventus strikers Zlatan Ibrahimovic and David Trezeguet and Fiorentina forward Luca Toni linked to the club. (AP)
