AC Milan sign Malian midfielder Traore

Malian international defensive midfielder Bakaye Traore has signed for AC Milan from Nancy, the Ligue 1 strugglers announced on Wednesday.

Malian international defensive midfielder Bakaye Traore has signed for AC Milan from Nancy, the Ligue 1 strugglers announced on Wednesday.

The 27-year-old, who has been at Nancy since 2009, signed a three-year contract with the Serie A runners-up.

Traore, who began his career with Amiens in Ligue 2 and spent six seasons with the northern club, agreed to join Milan in mid-April but did not want to announce it until Nancy had ensured their place in Ligue 1 for next season.
