The inaugural edition of Premier Futsal league will get off to a rocking start with maestro A.R. Rahman's live show at Chennai's Nehru Stadium on Friday evening.
The first edition of the Premier Futsal league will see six franchises divided in two groups to battle it out over eight days and 13 matches to make it to the finals which will be played in Goa on July 24. (FULL SCHEDULE)
Each franchise has a marquee international football player, seven internationals and five Indian futsallers.
The list of marquee players include former World Player of the Year Ronaldinho, Manchester United Stalwarts - Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs, ex-Chelsea and Inter-Milan forward Hernan Crespo, former Galactico Michel Salgado, and 'Pele of Futsal', Alessandro Rosa Viera, better known as Falcao.
Falcao's Chennai 5 will clash with Giggs' Mumbai in the first match of the tournament. The second game of the opening day will feature Ronaldinho's Goa and Crespo's Kolkata.
