Cristiano Ronaldo became the first player to score in six different World Cup tournaments on Tuesday by getting two goals in Portugal’s 5-0 win over Uzbekistan. The 41-year-old Ronaldo made history in the sixth minute when João Cancelo crossed it to him and he shot with his right foot to make it 1-0. He ran toward the bench and celebrated with his teammates after the score. He scored again in the 39th minute when he got a pass from Bruno Fernandes and shot with his right foot just inside the near post to make the score 3-0. Ronaldo was named man of the match.

Ronaldo, what have you done? He reached the cross in time but the shot was just wide and he missed out on the hat-trick. However, 5-0 win for Portugal and they will surely be overjoyed.

Portugal finally get their fifth goal and it is Rafael Leao. Semedo made a rapid run down the flanks and Leao did not have to do anything special as he guide the ball into the goal. This has been brilliant from Portugal!

It is unbelievable that Portugal have not scored more goals. A Ronaldo shot was saved by the keeper and he was once again brilliant as the Uzbekistan No. 1 stopping an effort from Bruno Fernandes. 

The hat-trick is within his reach but the shot from Ronaldo was saved brilliantly by the Uzbekistan keeper. What a chance and he will be ruing his miss!

Roberto Martinez now has a big decision to make. 18 minutes to go in the game and although he has 2 goals in the game, Cristiano Ronaldo will be important for Portugal's entire campaign. It will be interesting to see if Portugal decides to give him a bit of rest right now.

An own goal from Abdukodir Khusanov and Uzbekistan are fuming. A picture perfect cross from Bruno Fernandes corner and the ball bounced off the defender and crossed the line. Joao Felix got the last touch but it will go down as an own goal!

Uzbekistan may be 3 goals down but they are not giving up that easy. A long-range effort was deflected away from the goal and they have a corner. The chances have been few and far between but they need to make something out of them.

It is half-time and Portugal lead 3-0 against Uzbekistan. Ronaldo had the chance to score his hat-trick but the finish was just not good enough and the shot was cleared off the line. It was all Portugal but Uzbekistan did show flashes of brilliance!

Ronaldo now has 10 World Cup goals - one more than Eusebio and it is the most for Portugal in the competition. Records continue to tumble for the superstar!

A wonder goal for Uzbekistan as Ganiev slams it from outside the box! However, it was ruled out as there was a foul in the build-up. It could have been one of the goals of the tournament but Uzbekistan will surely take heart from this passage of play.

Everyone was convinced that it will be Cristiano Ronaldo but it is Nuno Mendes who has scored the second goal. What epic scenes! A selfless play by Ronaldo who played the decoy while Mendes deftly guided the ball into the goal. This is just sensational!

An early yellow card for Uzbekistan and it is Xamrobekov. A rash challenge from him and Ronaldo has the chance to score his second from the resultant free-kick.

It is Portugal all the way in the first 10 minutes of the match. Ronaldo found the goal but it was just one of the many chances that Portugal created. Uzbekistan have no response to this onslaught and if this continues, it can get a bit ugly.
