Belgium coach Marc Wilmots was sure about two things coming into the World Cup. One: a single action can turn a whole match and a whole campaign. Two: Eden Hazard can produce that single decisive action.
The Belgian playmaker goes into the second-round clash against the United States on Tuesday after more than a week's rest and almost a lifetime of watching Brazilian football videos.
Hazard said that "all the Brazilians inspired me," rattling off the names of Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and Robinho. He said that "when I was little and growing up I watched a lot of videos - and that inspired me."
In Europe, he already is among the most talented players on the ball. Now comes the World Cup.
