Brazil President Dilma Rousseff and FIFA President Sepp Blatter have been jeered and whistled by spectators before they presented the trophy at the World Cup final.
Whistling noises were heard from the stands at the Maracana Stadium when they were shown on giant screens after Germany's 1-0 win over Argentina.
Rousseff and Blatter jointly handed over the trophy to Germany captain Philipp Lahm. (Germany's Triumph Result of Team Work, Says Lahm)
The Brazil president attended just her second match of the tournament and was subjected to an insulting chant by spectators as the trophy was presented. (Who is Mario Goetze?)
At the 18 World Cup matches Blatter has attended, he was rarely shown on giant screens inside stadiums. (Lionel Messi: Golden Ball, a Tribute to the Perfect Playmaker)
Last year, Blatter and Rousseff were jeered while he made a speech at the opening ceremony for the Confederations Cup in Brasilia.
