Coming into Euro 2012, not many would fancy the chances of a lesser known Denmark line-up in a group that holds the likes of Germany, Portugal and the Netherlands.
However, with a mash of experienced campaigners like Dennis Rommedahl and exciting young prospect Christian Eriksen, Denmark are more than capable of causing an upset and progressing further.
Managed by the former captain Morten Olsen, Denmark have shown attacking intent which led them to top their group in Euro qualifying, losing just one match - against Portugal - and collecting 19 points out of a possible-24. They also avenged their defeat against Portugal in qualifying by beating them 2-1 in the home leg, a result that helped them finish ahead of their opponents in the group and make direct qualification to the final tournament.
The 'Olsen Gang', as it is known also boasts the likes of Nicklas Bendtner, who is more than capable of providing goals.
Having failed to qualify for the Euro in the last edition, Olsen has delivered great value for the trust that the Denmark authorities have shown in him and this will surely be his litmus test.
Coincidently, Denmark play their first match against the Netherlands, which was also the case in the 2010 World Cup, which the Dutch won 2-0.
