With Chelsea ninth in the Premier League table, Frank Lampard became the latest head coach to face the boot from owner Roman Abramovich, on Monday. Having guided his club to a 4th Round FA Cup win over Luton Town, fans were left disappointed to see their club legend join the bandwagon of managers getting sacked by Abramovich. In a statement released by the club, the billionaire revealed that it was a very difficult decision due to their personal relationship. A former England and Chelsea midfielder, Lampard joined Chelsea as head coach on July 4, 2019.
Fans were left shaken with the news, considering the legendary status of Lampard in the club. The 42-year-old joined Chelsea after starting his managerial career with Derby County.
