World Cup tickets to be available from May
The 800,000 tickets for the 2007 cricket World Cup can be applied for from May 1.

The 800,000 tickets for the 2007 cricket World Cup can be applied for from May 1. Tickets will range from category 1 for premium seats, to category 4, a party stand with artificially created beaches. The first public application will run from May 1 to July 31. They will be available from March 13-April 26, 2007. Any leftover tickets will be sold from September 1-November 29, and again from January 9, 2007. Tickets for pool matches will range from $15-$100, the Super 8 stage from $25-$100, the semifinals from $50-$130, and the final from $100-$300. A ballot will be used if applications outnumber tickets. Organizers are targeting 75 percent attendances. Matches will be played in Barbados, Jamaica, St. Lucia, St. Kitts, Antigua, Grenada, Trinidad, Guyana, and St. Vincent. (AP)Topics mentioned in this article
