St Lucia:

Pakistan middle order batsman Umar Akmal is a doubtful starter in his side's World Twenty20 semifinal against Australia here on Friday.

The in-form batsman has injured his back while fielding in Pakistan's do-or-die Super Eight match against South Africa.

According to team sources, Umar had an MRI done and the result is expected on Friday.

Though the team management is still mulling to play the combative cricketer by asking the team doctor to inject him with a pain-killer, he could be replaced by Fawad Alam.
