New Delhi:

What happens when a man whom a billion and more literally worship, takes to a social networking site? The answer is as easy as it gets. Everyone wants a piece of him.

The very idea of having a round-the-clock update on Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar's life has already lured close to 2 lakh people who are now following the 'maestro' on twitter. At last count Sachin had 1, 92, 602 followers and growing by the second.

In a Helenesque achievement (remember the mythical Greek beauty that launched a thousand ships), the Little Master's list of followers has seen an unprecedented growth day on day and many people are just waiting to see twitter records tumble here.

After making a grand entry on the social networking site earlier this week, India's cricketing talisman is also fast learning the tricks of the twitter. It all began when famous photographer and Sachin's buddy, Atul Kasbekar tweeted: "Ladies n Gentlemen it is my proud privilege to introduce Finally to Twitter, SACHIN TENDULKAR, @sachin_rt, follow the King now, go go go !!!" while introducing him on the site.

Since then Sachin has made quite a few personal posts, but the one that truly showcases the real man off the field is the one where he talks about the joy of his children to see him on twitter. "My kids r happy that I m finally on twitter. They hv been tryin 2 get me 2 join twitter or facebook for ages.I m still gettin the hang of it", tweeted Sachin.

If it will be anything like getting a hang of T20 and silencing his critics, we know what's next.

Sachin's latest post wishes the Indian team ahead of their match against Australia at the World T20. Aware how important the clash is, Sachin has tweeted, "Big match vs Aust today, I wish all the best to our players. Will watch the game with my family n close friends."
