Mumbai:
The pacer has missed out on India's campaign down under because of a shoulder injury, but he is trying to get back to full fitness before the 3rd Test begins in Perth on 16th January.
He is not going under the knife, as was advised but has taken recourse to good old Ayurveda
As a bowler Sreesanth is priceless. But as a product he is worth close to half a crore.
While his Team India mates are done with their endorsement deals for the season, Sreesath has enough spare time these days to keep at it.
He begins training later this week, but till then, he is busy promoting the return of Hanuman.
"Perhaps you would have found me on sling now but I went to Dr Ravindran in Coimbatore for Ayurvedic treatment. I had been to him in 2002 for my back. Right now, there is no pain," said Sreesanth, member, Indian Cricket Team.
"I will rest for three more days and then I will start strengthening. I had met John Gloster, Sachin and Anil. I will try to recover as soon as possible. Probably by the third Test. If not definitely by the one dayers, then it will be up to the selectors whether to select me or not. I will try to play the match on 25th and get back to fitness," he added.
Sreesanth seems to be in a tearing hurry not just to get back to cricketing action but also maybe to have another go at his old adversaries in Australia.
So, it isn't just Ayurveda, but every other mean possible as well for a speedy recovery.
"I have been reciting Hanuman Chalisa since I was a kid. Hanuman is a superhero even for a fast bower. He is a son of air, so why not pray to hanuman. I do say Jai Bajarangbali, he is the real superhero," he said.
Well, the entire team has a shot at becoming superheroes because that is what a win against the World Champions will elevate them to.
Sreesanth, for one, does not want to miss out on his time under the Australian Sun. And if not his bowling, then certainly his attitude will make a difference as India challenges the champs.
