Scrapping of CLT20 is Not an End of Opportunities: Lokesh Rahul
The Governing Council of the Champions League T20 on Wednesday decided to scrap the tournament with immediate effect, just a day after the Supreme Court appointed Justice Lodha Committee gave a stinging verdict suspending IPL teams CSK and Rajasthan Royals for two years.

Although he termed Champions League T20 as a "great platform", Test specialist and Sunrisers Hyderabad player Lokesh Rahul feels that scrapping of the tournament will not mean the end of opportunity for talented Indian players to prove their mettle.
"See this is not the end of opportunities. There are so many more tournaments and opportunities where we can prove ourselves. There is Ranji Trophy, there is 50 overs tournament (Vijay Hazare Trophy), 20 over tournaments (Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and IPL)," Rahul said when asked about whether scrapping of the tournament will hurt young Indian players to showcase their skills at the top level.
"So there are lot of opportunities to come into selector's radar. So I don't think CLT20 not being there will make a difference although it was a great platform. I am sure there are more opp for players to perform well," added Rahul.
Veteran leg-spinner Amit Mishra also agreed with Rahul's opinion even though he refused to comment on suspension of Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals.
