91.2 OUT! YASHASVI JAISWAL IS RUN OUT! Oh, what just happened there? A proper brain-fade moment, and there is a huge mix-up between both batters, which eventually made Yashasvi Jaiswal lose his wicket, and he departs for 175 (258). Full and a bit outside off, Jaiswal gets across and drives it to the right of mid off and sets off for a quick single. He makes a loud call for a quick single and is already halfway down the pitch when his skipper, Shubman Gill, after taking a couple of steps and realising that the fielder is close to the ball, sends him back. A huge mix-up happens there, and Jaiswal tries to retrieve all the way back from there. But the mid off fielder, Tagenarine Chanderpaul, gets across to his right, picks up the ball, and makes a throw to the keeper after carefully watching where the batter is short. The keeper, Tevin Imlach, gets upto the stumps, just about collects the throw at the edge of the gloves, and breaks the stumps with the ball popping out on the impact. Jaiswal falls short of his crease, and he stands there in disbelief, looking at his skipper and telling him that that was his call for that single, and Gill should have responded, as they could have got a single there. But now, he walks back when the umpire asks him and misses out on his well-deserved double-hundred. India are 325/3. 325/3

| KL Rahul | 38 | 54 | 5 | 1 | 70.37 |
|
17.3 OUT! STUMPED! OUTFOXED! Windies manage to break through before Lunch, and it is a big wicket of KL Rahul, who departs after a good-looking 38 (54). Jomel uses his fingers to offer flight and pitches it up at just 80 kph, full and around off. Rahul uses his feet and looks to use his wrist to push it into the off side with soft hands for a single. But as the ball lands, it seems on a rough, and it spins away sharply across the batter, beating the outside edge of the bat. The keeper, Tevin Imlach, moves to his right, collects it low behind the wickets and swiftly dislodges the bails before Rahul could think of coming back. KL looks stunned at how the pitch has offered so much even in the first session itself, and he has to walk back. India are 58/1 58/1

| Sai Sudharsan | 87 | 165 | 12 | 0 | 52.72 |
|
68.3 OUT! LBW! Jomel Warrican provides another magical delivery, which finally produces another wicket. He gets his second wicket. Only the second occasion including KL Rahul's dismissal when the ball has spun extravagantly. This is pitched outside off, on a length. It lands and grips very sharply into the batter and also stays low on the bounce. Sai Sudharsan is trapped in the crease, neither going on the back foot nor committing on the front foot. He tries to bring the bat in front of the pads to tuck it across, but gets late and hoodwinked by the lack of bounce and excessive turn on it. Gets rapped on the flap of the front pad. A huge appeal for LBW, and the finger is raised. Sudharsan walks to Jaiswal, and with just one second remaining on the timer, he opts for a review. No need to check UltraEdge, and the Ball Tracking comes up with three reds. The 193-run stand is broken, and Sai Sudharsan will be very disappointed as he misses out on his maiden Test century. He departs for 87 (165) and India are 251/2. 251/2

| Nitish Kumar Reddy | 43 | 54 | 4 | 2 | 79.62 |
|
108.3 OUT! TAKEN! Jomel Warrican gets his much-deserved third wicket now! He tosses it up, full and on middle, spinning away a bit. Invites the batter to go after it, and with Nitish Kumar Reddy already hitting two sixes, he takes the bait. Tries for the slog sweep against the turn, but this time only manages a top edge as his bat turns in his hands. His head falls down as soon as he hits it, and the ball goes high in the air towards long on. Jayden Seales, who is stationed there, settles under it and pouches it safely. Reddy departs for a breezy 43 off 54, and India are 416/4! 416/4

| Dhruv Jurel Wk | 44 | 79 | 5 | 0 | 55.69 |
|
134.2 OUT! BOWLED'EM! Roston Chase gets the breakthrough here! He gets rid of Dhruv Jurel and breaks the 102-run stand. This is pushed through quicker, shortish and on middle from around the wicket. Jurel rocks back and has a wild swing across the line. He misses it as the ball keeps low, takes a slight inside edge and crashes onto the stumps. Jurel misses out on a fifty here. Well, Shubman Gill has decided that is enough, and India have declared for 518/5! 518/5

7.2 OUT! CAUGHT! Oh, what happened? An excellent catch, to say, the ball has caught Sai Sudharsan, and John Campbell departs for 10 (25). Full and around off, John sits down and tries to sweep it. He has absolutely smashed his shot, and the ball goes towards short leg. Sai Sudharsan, stationed there, tries to sway away and wants to save himself from the shot, but the ball catches him off guard. He closes his eyes but keeps his hands in front, where the ball hits the grill of the helmet and gets stuck in his hands. He doesn't let it out as he closes the grip near his chest, even after he loses his balance for a bit. Everyone is stunned on the ground, and John doesn't want to leave, but he has to walk back, and the Indians are full of smiles there. Jadeja strikes on his second delivery and Sai looks a bit hurt there, as he needs medical attention. 21/1

| Tagenarine Chanderpaul | 34 | 67 | 4 | 1 | 50.74 |
|
27.3 OUT! EDGED AND GONE! Tagenarine Chanderpaul's resistance has been broken now, and he fails to make the most of that successful review. Ravindra Jadeja floats it up, full and around off. It lands on the rough and turns in sharply. Chanderpaul stays back and looks to push it away from his body, but only manages to get a thick outside edge towards first slip. KL Rahul tries to grab it with both hands but fumbles and juggles it twice before grabbing it on the third attempt. Chanderpaul walks back for a well-made 34 off 67, and West Indies are 87/2! 87/2

| Alick Athanaze | 41 | 84 | 5 | 1 | 48.80 |
|
32.1 OUT! TAKEN! All the hard work done by Alick Athanaze ends here as he departs for 41 (84). Kuldeep comes in and offers plenty of flight. Pitches it up, full and around middle, getting it to turn away from there. Alick clears his front leg away as he tries to take on the bowler. But the ball is too full, and he ends up chipping it off the toe end of the bat straight to mid-wicket, where Ravindra Jadeja pouches it around his waist. Kuldeep is delighted and hugs Jadeja as the Indians celebrate the wicket, while Alick looks disheartened, but he has to trudge back. West Indies are 106/3, trailing by 412 runs. 106/3

| Shai Hope | 36 | 57 | 5 | 0 | 63.15 |
|
49.3 OUT! BOWLED'EM! Absolute beauty from Kuldeep Yadav! He gets Shai Hope for the second time in this series. This is pushed through quicker, full and on middle and off, drifts away and goes with the angle. Hope gets forward and plays for the turn in, but does so completely down the wrong line. The ball goes past the outside edge and rattles the off pole. Hope looks stunned but trudges back for a gritty 36 off 57. West Indies are 156/5, still trailing by 362 runs! 156/5

33.3 OUT! CAUGHT AND BOWLED! A soft, soft dismissal and the Windies' skipper walks back for a duck. Jadeja rolls his fingers and slows it up. Full and around middle, Roston Chase takes a step forward and tries to play with soft hands. As the ball holds on the surface, it comes a bit later than Chase would have expected it to be. He ends up chipping it off the toe end of the bat back to the bowler. Ravindra Jadeja moves to his right a bit and pouches it around his waist. Two wickets in two overs for India and they are on top again. 107/4

| Tevin Imlach Wk | 21 | 67 | 3 | 0 | 31.34 |
|
52 OUT! PLUMB IN FRONT! Kuldeep Yadav strikes again! Both the overnight batters for the West Indies are back in the hut now. Slower through the air, full and on middle, Tevin Imlach decides to work it away from the back foot but misses a pretty straight one and gets hit on the back pad right in front of the stumps. The ball pops up, and the short leg fielder Devdutt Padikkal (sub) also dives to his right to grab it. There is a big shout for LBW, and the finger of the umpire goes up without hesitation. However, Imlach goes for the review but much more in desperation after chatting with his partner. UltraEdge confirms no bat is involved, and Ball Tracking comes up with three reds with the ball projected to hit the leg stump. West Indies lose Imlach and a review as well! 163/6

| Justin Greaves | 17 | 20 | 3 | 0 | 85 |
|
55.2 OUT! LBW! Kuldeep Yadav has four now! Now, that is a disappointing shot from Justin Greaves, who was looking good out there. Just throws his wicket away. Tossed up by KD, full and on middle, turns in a bit, Greaves goes down on one knee for a premeditated reverse sweep, but the length is too full and he misses to get hit on the pads. There is a big shout for LBW, and the umpire raises his finger as this is pretty straight. Greaves does not even bother reviewing it and walks back for 17 off 20. West Indies have slipped from 156/4 to 174/7! 174/7

| Khary Pierre | 23 | 46 | 3 | 0 | 50 |
|
72.5 OUT! KNOCKED HIM OVER! 'BOOM BOOM' SPECIAL! From around-the-wicket angle, Bumrah bowls it on a length and aims at the top of the off stump. Brings it back in and gets some zip off the deck as well. It is too hot to handle for Khary Pierre, who tries to go deep in his crease and looks to defend it with a straight bat face. Ends up getting squared up, and the ball zips past the outside edge of the bat before rattling into the off stump, which goes for a cartwheel towards the keeper. Bumrah is happy, and so are the Indian players. The resistance of Pierre ends here, who departs for 23 (46) while the Windies are 221/9. 221/9

| Jomel Warrican | 1 | 5 | 0 | 0 | 20 |
|
56.3 OUT! DRAGGED ON! No need for any review on this occasion, and Siraj gets his first. He bowls it on a length and keeps it around off, skidding through the deck. Jomel Warrican stays deep in his crease and throws his hands at it to push into the off side for a single. But as the ball skids, he only manages to get an inside edge that goes and crashes into the middle stump. Siraj is pumped up as he celebrates the wicket. Jomel departs for just 1 (5) and the Windies are 175/8, trailing by 343 runs. 175/8

81.5 OUT! PLUMB IN FRONT! LBW! The Windies have been bundled out for 248, and they have a trail of 270 runs. Kuldeep drags his length a bit back and bowls it around middle, getting it to spin back in. Jayden Seales presses back and looks to defend it with a straight bat face, but gets beaten on the inside edge due to the turn. He gets pinged around kneeroll on his back pad. A massive appeal goes up for LBW from the bowler and the keeper before the umpire obliges it and raises his finger. However, Seales takes a review. The third umpire is called in, and there is nothing on the UltraEdge. The Ball Tracking presents three reds with the ball projected to hit the top of the middle stump. The on-field decision is upheld, and Seales departs for 13 (25). This is the fifth five-wicket haul for Kuldeep in Tests! 248/10

63.3 OUT! LBW! Stop the press - India have finally managed to get a breakthrough! How often have we seen the batting team lose a wicket right after the Drinks break? That has happened here again, and the mammoth 177-run stand has been broken now. Coming to the delivery, this is floated, full and around middle, John Campbell goes down for the reverse sweep but misses and gets hit low on his front pad. There is a big shout for LBW, and Jadeja goes in celebappeal before he turns back and looks at the umpire to realise it isn't given OUT yet. After thinking for a while, the umpire, Paul Reiffel, raises his finger. Campbell takes the review, and the third umpire is called in. UltraEdge shows nothing, and Ball Tracking comes up with three reds with the ball projected to hit the middle stump. A stellar knock of 115 from him comes to an end as he walks back to a huge applause from the crowd. West Indies are 212/3, still trailing by 58 runs! 212/3

8.3 OUT! TAKEN! Mohammed Siraj draws first blood! The short-ball plan has worked for India here. Siraj bangs this one into the pitch and just outside off. Tagenarine Chanderpaul stays back and looks to pull it away, but gets a bit hurried, and his bat also turns in his hands upon contact. He ends up slicing it in the air, and Shubman Gill from short-mid-wicket runs a few yards to his right and dives to take a fantastic catch. West Indies are 17/1, still trailing by 253 runs! 17/1

14.3 OUT! BOWLED'EM! Washington Sundar has bowled a dream delivery to dismiss Alick! He flights it up, full and on middle, drifts in a bit, but then turns away sharply. Alick Athanaze gets forward to defend but is not expecting that amount of spin, and gets squared up as he plays down the wrong line. The ball goes past the outside and crashes onto off and middle. This is every off-spinner's dream dismissal. Athanaze departs for 7 off 17, and West Indies are 35/2. THAT WILL ALSO BE TEA ON DAY 3! 35/2

|
83.5 OUT! DRAGGED ON! Mohammed Siraj provides a massive wicket for India! A slight lapse of concentration from Shai Hope, and he has to walk back right after getting to his ton. This is bowled on a good length and outside off, keeping a touch low as well. Hope throws his bat at it without any footwork. Only manages to get a thick inside edge back onto the middle stump that gets uprooted. He hangs his head down in disappointment, but now the 59-run stand has been broken. West Indies are 271/4, leading by a solitary run! 271/4

| Roston Chase C | 40 | 72 | 4 | 1 | 55.55 |
|
91.3 OUT! TAKEN! A STUNNER! Kuldeep Yadav gets his second and two-in-two overs for him! Bowls a relatively fuller delivery, around middle and leg, and the ball stays a bit low, like it remained on Tevin Imlach's dismissal. Roston Chase presses back and gets surprised. He tries to bring his bat down and looks to flick it, but gets it off the bottom part of the bat. The ball lobs up towards mid-wicket, where the substitute fielder Devdutt Padikkal dives forward full-length and snaffles it to his left. Chase walks back for a well-made 40 off 72. Windies lose their sixth and they have a lead of just 28 runs. 298/6

|||||
| Tevin Imlach Wk | 12 | 13 | 1 | 1 | 92.30 |
|
89.3 OUT! LBW! Kuldeep Yadav strikes! A bit unlucky for Tevin Imlach! This is pushed through quicker, shorter and middle, skidding through and remains very low. Imlach once again moves back to flick it away, but fails to get his bat in line with the ball and misses to get hit very low on the back pad. There is a huge appeal for LBW, and the finger goes up right away. Imlach thinks about the review, but his partner and skipper, Roston Chase, says that it is plumb. He departs for 12 off 13, and West Indies are 293/5, leading by 23 runs! 293/5

91.5 OUT! CAUGHT! That shot won't please anyone in the Caribbean dugout as West Indies lose their seventh wicket. Kuldeep dishes a fuller delivery, offers plenty of flight and bowls it around off, getting it to spin away from the batter. Khary Pierre sits down and tries to take on the bowler. He looks to heave it across, but ends up getting a top edge as he has played it against the spin. The ball goes up in the air towards mid off, where Nitish Kumar Reddy goes to his right a bit and pouches it around his chest. Indians are all smiles, and Khary goes back for a duck. Kuldeep has his third wicket of the inning and the eighth of the match. 298/7

| Jomel Warrican | 3 | 6 | 0 | 0 | 50 |
|
94.2 OUT! KNOCKED HIM OVER! 'BOOM BOOM' SPECIAL! From over the wicket, Bumrah bowls it on a good length and brings it back in from wide of the crease, around middle. And that is too good for a lower-order batter. Jomel Warrican tries to get it away but gets cramped. The ball follows him, beats the inside half of the bat and rattles the off stump after getting brushed with Jomel's back thigh pad. The off stump goes for a cartwheel, and Bumrah is elevated. Jomel departs for 3 (6) and the Windies are 307/8. They have a lead of 37 runs. 307/8

96.5 OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! What a ripper, and Bumrah has another wicket to his name! From over the wicket, on a length and angling in from wide of the crease and then gets it to move away from there, just outside off. Anderson Phillip tries to defend it, but his feet don't go anywhere, and he throws his hands at it, also plays inside the line of it. Gets a faint outside edge that goes behind the wickets, where Dhruv Jurel gets low and moves to his right a bit before taking it around his waist. Anderson walks back for 2 (10) and the Windies are 311/9. 311/9

118.5 OUT! TAKEN! FINALLY, FINALLY! India have snaffled the last wicket, and they managed to break this frustrating 77-run partnership for them. Bumrah bowls it on a length and angles in from wide of the crease, around middle and leg. Jayden Seales prods forward and looks to flick it. Fails to keep it along the ground, and it goes flat to deep square leg where Washington Sundar runs forward and pouches it around his waist. The Windies have been bundled out for 390, and India have a target of 121 to chase in the fourth innings. 390/10

Jaiswal dances down the track and looks to take on the bowler. He goes for a big lofted shot downtown, but gets too close to the pitch of the delivery. Doesn't get the desired elevation and ends up playing it flat to long on. Anderson Phillip doesn't have to move an inch there, who pouches it around his face. Shubman Gill skips down the track and looks to slog it hard over mid-wicket, but this one bounces a bit more than he expects. It takes the top edge and goes high in the air towards mid-wicket. Justin Greaves runs backwards, keeps his eyes on the ball and pouches it before tumbling down onto the ground. Gill was trying to finish the job quickly, but had to depart for 13 off 15.
