b Rajeshwari Gayakwad
11.1 OUT! Bowled round her legs! Gayakwad, you beauty. She once again pitches a full ball in the zone just outside leg and gets it to spin towards the stumps. Winfield kneels down for the sweep shot but misses and finds her stumps disturbed. What a comeback from Rajeshwari, went for 12 runs in her first over, followed it up with a maiden and now the first breakthrough. 47/1

Tammy Beaumont | 23 | 37 | 5 | 0 | 62.16 |
c Jhulan Goswami b Poonam Yadav
14.3 OUT! Softest of dismissals! And it's a big wicket, the in-form batter for England in this tournament is out of here. Poonam Yadav gets lucky with this wicket though. A leg spinner is often a lucky breed. We have seen umpteenth time that they have got wickets of absolutely poor deliveries. A rank full toss on middle, Beaumont skips down the track, fails to resist the temptation and tries to smack this one into orbit. However, she fails to get any timing or power behind it. Ends up ballooning it in the air and Jhulan Goswami at deep mid-wicket takes the simplest of catches. India taking upper hand in this game. 60/2

Sarah Taylor Wk | 45 | 62 | 0 | 0 | 72.58 |
c Sushma Verma b Jhulan Goswami
32.4 OUT! SHE'S GONE! Jhulan Goswami was brought back in to take a wicket, this pair needed to be separated and she's done just that. Partnership of 83 comes to an end. Not a wicket-taking delivery in any sense, as Goswami fires it down leg. Sarah Taylor looks to flick and seems to have gotten something on it as the keeper shouts loudly. The umpire takes a lot of time, thinks hard and raises his finger eventually. Taylor starts walking and doesn't take the review, which surely means there was some bat involved. Just the wicket India wanted, they can make further inroads from here. 146/4

Heather Knight C | 1 | 7 | 0 | 0 | 14.28 |
lbw b Poonam Yadav
16.1 OUT! SUCCESSFUL REVIEW FROM INDIA! This is excellent, big blow for England as their skipper departs. Poonam Yadav floats it up just on off and it doesn't spin much, rather keeps going on with the angle after landing. Heather Knight kneels down to sweep, misses and is hit on the front pad. Loud appeal goes up but the umpire remains unmoved. India review immediately and it goes upstairs. Impact is probably the only thing that could save her here and replays show that it's hit in line. Heather Knight has to depart. The Indians march on. Sushma Verma, the keeper, played a big role there in convincing Mithali Raj to go for the DRS. Well done. India on top. 63/3
|
|||||
Nat Sciver | 51 | 68 | 5 | 0 | 75 |
lbw b Jhulan Goswami
37.1 OUT! That's plumb! Jhulan has turned it around for India. Delivers a fuller length ball around off, Sciver takes a step down the track, gets across and tries to flick on the leg side. Misses and is thudded on the pads. They appeal and the finger goes up. Natalie Sciver takes the referral but the Ball Tracking confirms that she is hit in line and the ball is going on to hit the middle stump. This is a big setback for England as the set batter is gone. 164/6

Fran Wilson | 1 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
lbw b Jhulan Goswami
32.5 OUT! TWO IN TWO FOR JHULAN! Experience coming to the fore and delivering, amazing stuff. Fired in full on leg, angling down a touch. Fran Wilson looks to flick but misses and is caught low on the pads. Loud appeal and this time the umpire raises his finger without much hesitation. No review taken this time either, smart call. Would have clipped leg stump at most and the umpire's call would have stayed. Golden duck for Wilson. 146/5

Katherine Brunt | 34 | 42 | 2 | 0 | 80.95 |
run out (Deepti Sharma)
46 OUT! Bull's eye by Deepti Sharma! Shikha Pandey serves it full and outside off, Gunn pushes it to extra cover and they attempt for a hesitant single. Direct hit was needed and Sharma comes up with that at the striker's end. Brunt is not even in the picture. Massive breakthrough. 196/7

lbw b Anya Shrubsole
42.5 OUT! Punam Raut is given lbw! Shrubsole with the wicket. This final is not done yet. Full length ball on off, angling in, Raut tries playing across the line but misses and is rapped on the pads. She is rapped on the front pad, they appeal and the umpire agrees. Raut has a chat with her partner and then takes the referral. But the umpire tells her that time is up. End of an excellent knock by Raut. 191/4
|
|||||
Smriti Mandhana | 4 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
b Anya Shrubsole
1.4 OUT! Those wides are made up for. What a delivery! Ideal early breakthrough for Anya Shrubsole. Bowls it on a length, it's going on straight, not much movement on it. Mandhana is forward to defend but not forward enough. The ball goes past her hanging bat and knocks the stumps over. Mandhana wasn't looking very assured, now departs via a tentative defensive shot. The left-hander made an incredible start to the tournament, 196 in her first two matches but then her woes started and continued as he managed only 36 in her next seven. 5/1

Mithali Raj C | 17 | 31 | 3 | 0 | 54.83 |
run out (Natalie Sciver)
12.1 OUT! BIG WICKET FOR ENGLAND! The crowd at Lord's erupts at the Indian captain is dismissed, they know how important that wicket is. Raut works it to mid-wicket and sets off for the run. Natalie Sciver is the fielder there and she's lighting quick to get to the ball. Throws is quickly at the keeper who whips the bails off. Looks like Raj is gone, but it's taken upstairs. Replays show she's well short. Strange piece of running from her, in her last World Cup, she showed no urgency to get in. Didn't stretch her bat out, put no dive in. Didn't seem that interested at all. England won't mind that though, not at all. 43/2
|
|||||
Harmanpreet Kaur | 51 | 80 | 3 | 2 | 63.75 |
c Tammy Beaumont b Alex Hartley
33.3 OUT! GONE! KAUR IS OUT OF HERE! England have struck gold at a crucial juncture. Can the hosts come back into this game now? Fuller on middle and leg, Kaur gets down on one knee and sweeps it over backward square leg. A meter here or there and she would have found the boundary. But instead, finds Tammy Beaumont out in the deep. Crushing blow to India, lost their star hitter at the wrong time. 138/3
|
|||||
Veda Krishnamurthy | 35 | 34 | 5 | 0 | 102.94 |
c Natalie Sciver b Anya Shrubsole
44.4 OUT! Length ball angling into the batsman, Veda attempts to slog it over mid-wicket but gets a big top edge. The ball balloons in the air and Sciver settles underneath it inside the ring. Going right down to the wire. 29 needed off 32 balls. 200/6
|
|||||
Sushma Verma Wk | 2 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
b Alex Hartley
43.3 OUT! Bowled! This is getting very interesting, folks. Hartley tosses it up in the air and lands it full around leg, Verma gets down and across for the sweep shot but misses. It kisses her gloves and goes behind to disturb the stumps. Hanging in the balance, the 2017 Women's World Cup final! 196/5
|
|||||
Deepti Sharma | 14 | 12 | 1 | 0 | 116.66 |
c Natalie Sciver b Anya Shrubsole
48.1 OUT! GONE! IS THAT THE GAME? England certainly believe so and it's a 5-fer for Shrubsole. Slower ball outside off, Deepti is early into the chip shot and mistimes it horribly. The short mid-wicket fielder Sciver backtracks to her right to take the catch easily. JUST ONE WICKET NEEDED FOR ENGLAND NOW, 11 RUNS NEEDED OFF 11 BALLS. 218/9
|
|||||
Jhulan Goswami | 1 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
b Anya Shrubsole
45 OUT! KNOCKED HER OVER! Shrubsole is pumped up and so are the English players. The pendulum seems to be swinging, folks. A very full ball around middle, almost a yorker and Jhulan cannot bring her bat down in time. Rattle of timber and she has to make the long walk back to the pavilion. India under tremendous pressure now. 201/7
|
|||||
Shikha Pandey | 4 | 8 | 0 | 0 | 50 |
run out (Anya Shrubsole)
47.3 OUT! SUICIDAL RUN AND GONE! India are digging a hole for themselves here. Shortish and outside off, cut towards point and she wanted a single but the partner was never interested. Too late for Shikha to return as the throw at the keeper's end is accurate from Shrubsole. Taylor does the rest and Pandey is well short. 11 OFF 15 NEEDED NOW. 218/8

b Anya Shrubsole
48.4 OUT! ENGLAND ARE THE 2017 WOMEN'S WORLD CUP CHAMPIONS! What a moment for them, their unbeaten finals' record at home remains intact, three in a row now and their fourth title overall. Fittingly, it's Shrubsole who finishes things off for the home side. A very full ball attacking the stumps, Gayakwad cannot keep it out as she is slow to bring her bat down. The woodwork is shattered and that seals the deal. Screams of delight among the fielding side players and their support staff. ENGLAND WIN BY 9 RUNS! 219/10
