Right then! That is it from the coverage of this game! The action does not stop here, as we have another double-header lined up on Sunday, 10th April. The first game of the day sees a clash between Delhi and Kolkata which will begin at 3.30 pm IST (10 am GMT). The second clash of the day will see Rajasthan locking horns with Lucknow. This fixture will commence at 7.30 pm IST (2 pm GMT). We look forward to your company for both these games and make sure you tune in early for the build-up. Till then, cheers and goodbye!
Anuj Rawat is the PLAYER OF THE MATCH for his knock of 66 runs off just 47 balls. He says, it feels great to contribute to the team in a winning cause. Adds that he was following his process and kept things simple. Tells that the senior players have given him a lot of confidence and he feels good to be playing alongside Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis.
Faf du Plessis, the victorious skipper, says that Mumbai is a strong team and it feels good to win against them. Tells that they would have taken 151 any day. Mentions that there was something for the bowlers with the new ball. Tells that Rohit Sharma played some good shots and it was a valuable wicket for them. Says that Akash Deep was excellent with the ball in this game. Adds that it was a brilliant bowling performance. Informs that he spoke to Anuj Rawat before the start of the tournament and he has immense talent.
Rohit Sharma, the skipper of Mumbai, says that he thought that the combination of two overseas players would be ideal. Tells that they chose the best from what they had. Says that he wanted to bat long but got out at the wrong time. Tells that four losses on the trot is hurting them a bit. Informs that it is definitely not a 150 pitch and credits Suryakumar Yadav for his excellent knock. Informs that Suryakumar Yadav showed them that if one can bat sensibly, it is possible to get runs. Adds that they want to bat deep and if there are runs on the board then there's something for the bowlers too. Ends by saying that he has spoken of collective performances both with the bat and ball, and once that comes through, they will start seeing the results.
Stay tuned for the presentation...
Wanindu Hasaranga is up for a quick chat. He says that he is happy with his rhythm. Mentions that normally his googlies turn a little more than his leg-spin so he loves to bowl it. Tells that they have a lot of good talent and is ready to take his chance with the bat whenever he gets an opportunity.
Mumbai were denied early breakthroughs but it was Jaydev Unadkat who got rid of Bangalore's skipper in the 9th over. However, they leaked runs once Anuj Rawat and Virat Kohli got their eye in and failed to get wickets in the middle overs. Mumbai's bowlers weren't bad but they failed to put consistent pressure on the batters. They did get rid of Anuj Rawat at the backend, courtesy of some brilliant fielding from Ramandeep Singh. Dewald Brevis got the prized scalp of Virat Kohli and gave his team something to cheer for. In the end, one will have to say that Mumbai were certainly 15-20 runs short, in spite of Suryakumar Yadav's heroics with the bat.
Bangalore started steadily in the Powerplay and the opening stand of 50 ensured that were keeping up with the required rate. Faf du Plessis perished but Rawat carried on in his merry way and played with great maturity. Virat Kohli batted well alongside Rawat and they stitched together a partnership of 80 runs. Even though Bangalore lost a couple of wickets at the backend, the damage had already been done by Rawat and Kohli. Dinesh Karthik and Glenn Maxwell provided the finishing touches and made sure that there aren't any more hiccups for them.
A comfortable victory in the end for Bangalore, they make it three wins in a row! Mumbai on the other hand, have suffered their fourth consecutive defeat and their hunt for a win continues. Bangalore didn't have a mountain to climb but the pair of Anuj Rawat and Virat Kohli batted smartly and never allowed Mumbai to get in the driver's seat. Had Mumbai been a bit better in the field, this game might have gone down to the wire.

Dewald Brevis To Virat Kohli OUT!
OUT! LBW! Dewald Brevis will remember this wicket for a while. His first delivery in Indian T20 League and he has got the wicket of Virat Kohli. Is there another twist in the tale? Bangalore would not hope so as they have Dinesh Karthik at the crease. Tossed up delivery from Dewald Brevis, on middle. Virat Kohli presses forward and looks to defend. He misses and gets thudded on the pads. Big appeal from Dewald Brevis and Ishan Kishan and the umpire straightaway raises his finger. Virat Kohli challenges the umpire though. UltraEdge shows no bat involved. Ball is very close to the pad so the third umpire moves onto the Ball Tracking which shows all three reds. The original decision stands. Virat Kohli doesn't like it as he thinks it was pad first but has to depart.
Dewald Brevis comes into the attack.

SIX! BOOM! Short and banged itno the pitch, on middle. Dinesh Karthik is in great form and he is not going to miss out on those. He rocks back and pulls it with some authority to deep mid-wicket for a maximum. Huge hit!

Jasprit Bumrah To Virat Kohli
Back of a length, on middle. Virat Kohli taps it through mid-wicket and calls for two and gets it easily. A wayward throw from the fielder in the deep at the bowler's end and that allows the batters to take another run as well. Should have only been two but now it's three.

Jaydev Unadkat To Virat Kohli OUT!
OUT! RUN OUT! Length ball, on middle. Virat Kohli plays it softly to long on and sets off for a single. He calls back for the second run but Ramandeep Singh quickly collects the ball and fires a throw at the bowler's end. He hits the stumps and Mumbai appeal for a run out. Replay shows that Anuj Rawat is fraction out of his crease. Nonetheless, he has probably played a match-winning knock for his side and departs for a well-made 66. Dinesh Karthik walks out to bat.
Is that a run out? A direct hit at the bowler's end and Anuj Rawat might be in trouble. The decision has been sent upstairs. The replays show that Rawat is just short of his crease.

Jaydev Unadkat To Anuj Rawat
NOT OUT! Full and on leg, Anuj Rawat moves to the off side and looks to flick but misses. He gets rapped on the pads. Jaydev Unadkat appeals for an lbw but the umpire says no. The ball deflects to the off side and the batters take a leg bye. Rohit Sharma opts for a review though. UltraEdge shows no bat involved. Ball Tracking shows that the ball is pitching outside leg. The original decision stays. Mumbai lose a review.
Review! Rohit Sharma has opted for a review for LBW. Anuj Rawat has been struck low on his pad as he has missed his flick. The UltraEdge rolls in and it confirms that there was no bat involved. The Ball Tracking indicates that the ball was pitched outside leg.

Jaydev Unadkat To Anuj Rawat
SIX! This is Anuj Rawat's sixth maximum! He is putting a show here! Length delivery, on off. Too easy for Anuj Rawat as he dances down and tonks it over deep mid-wicket for a biggie. He wants to finish it quickly now.
