Right then, that's all from the third and final ODI. Alyssa Healy collects the trophy and joins her teammates for the celebrations. The Aussies are all smiles as they pose for pictures in front of the Winners board. With this, we have come to an end to the ODI series between India Women and Australia Women. There is not much rest for the two teams as the focus now shifts to the three-match T20I series. The first T20I will take place on 5th January, Friday at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Mumbai. The first ball will be bowled at 7.30 pm IST (2.00 pm GMT) but our build-up will begin much sooner. Until then, take care and goodbye!
The captain of Australia Women, Alyssa Healy says they will take the clean sweep but would work hard to dominate the T20I series as well. Says that they are thrilled with the efforts in the field as they have struggled a bit in the last 12 months but they are excited to be back to their best. Credits Phoebe Litchfield that she is an incredible player at just 20 years old and she is just amazing and holds a bright future for the green and gold. Says that it is the skipper's delight that the players are always key to performing and when given a chance, everyone is eager to take responsibility by putting their hands up and performing for the side.
Phoebe Litchfield is the PLAYER OF THE MATCH as well as the PLAYER OF THE SERIES for her contributions with the bat throughout the series. She had 260 runs to her name including a hundred and two fifties. She feels that she has learnt from each inning. Adds that the first 2 innings were a challenge and she took notes of that. She also thinks that she got a bit lucky in this game. Feels that it is all about adapting to the pitch wherever she plays. She also states that she liked the way she took the catch and adds that she had practised those types of catches in the training. She reckons that winning the ODI series ia s great thing for her team especially after the loss they faced in the Test against India.
India Women's skipper, Harmanpreet Kaur says that they tried their best but were not clinical enough throughout the game. Adds that when they played Test cricket they had enough time to think but in the short format they needed to be quick with their thought process. Mentions that the newcomers have done well especially Shreyanka Patil and they need players who can keep going from the very start. Adds that they need someone like her in white-ball cricket. Also adds that they need to improve massively in the field as they have not been doing well and have let go of many good chances in the series and were sloppy too.
Time for the presentation ceremony...
Alana King is in for a chat. She says that she is absolutely stoked. Mentions that she knew that winning the series three up would be tough but she is very happy to win this. She praises Phoebe Litchfield and Alyssa Healy for the opening stand and the middle order for playing a crucial role. She reckons that the top order set it up beautifully for her to have a bit of fun batting with Georgia Wareham. On her side's fielding, she replies that she will rate it 10 but feels that they should ask the fielding coach.
Earlier in the game, it was Alyssa Healy who won yet another toss and opted to put runs on the board. Phoebe Litchfield and Alyssa Healy got Australia Women off to another solid start. As the innings progressed, both batters grew in confidence and scored runs without breaking a sweat during the 189-run stand, the highest-ever partnership against India in Women's ODIs. Neither of the two batters missed a beat until Healy dragged a ball back onto her stumps on 82. Australia stuttered during the middle phase as they lost a few quick wickets. Amidst all this, Litchfield held her composure and brought up her 2nd ODI fifty. As they did in the last game, the batting depth came to the fore again which helped Australia Women end up with 338, their highest ODI total against India. Shreyanka Patil was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3 for 57 from her 10 overs.
At the halfway mark, India Women had their backs against the wall and they needed something really special to pull it off. In their pursuit of 339, India Women started steadily thanks to Smriti Mandhana. However, the going was tough for her opening partner, Yastika Bhatia who soon perished in trying to be innovative. Mandhana looked good during her time in the middle but holed out to put India Women in a bit of bother. The in-form Richa Ghosh could not replicate her heroics from the last game while Harmanpreet Kaur's low run of scores continued in this game as well. Jemimah Rodrigues showed fight as she did throughout the series but after her dismissal, it was a virtual procession as the lower-order batters fell one after the other. Australia Women proved just too good for India Women as the hosts got bowled out for 148 to lose the game by a massive margin of 190 runs.
Having posted a mammoth total on the board, Australia Women were switched on in the field right from ball one and were equally good with the ball. Returning to the side for this game, Megan Schutt set the tone for the Aussies by accounting for the two Indian openers. As the field restrictions were lifted, spinners were introduced and they took no time to get into the act. The spin trio Georgia Wareham, Ashleigh Gardner and Alana King combined well to put India in more strife. The bowlers were backed up well by the fielders, something India were not able to do earlier in the day. Annabel Sutherland chipped in with a couple of wickets towards the end as well before Georgia Wareham completed the formalities for Australia Women.
AS CLINICAL AS IT CAN GET! Australia Women start the new year with a thumping victory to close out their ninth consecutive ODI series win against India Women! Alyssa Healy and Co. have simply outplayed their opponents to inflict a whitewash. As far as India Women are concerned, they gave a good account of themselves in the first two ODIs but they were just not able to turn up in this game to avoid the clean sweep.

Georgia Wareham To Mannat Kashyap OUT!
OUT! A sharp catch at first slip wraps this up as Australia Women have defeated India Women by 190 runs. Tossed up on off, Mannat Kashyap looks to block this out but catches an outside edge that deflects off the thigh of Alyssa Healy and was dropping in front of Beth Mooney at first slip but she does superb in diving low and sideways as she clinches it and claims it to be a fair one. The umpires were not sure of the catch and they sent this upstairs. After a series of replays, the TV umpire deems this out as the fingers of Beth Mooney were pointed downwards and underneath the ball. Australia Women win the series 3-0!
Is that out? An appeal for a catch against Mannat Kashyap has been sent upstairs. Australia Women look pretty confident as does Beth Mooney who has claimed the catch at first slip. The third umpire deems that the fingers are underneath the ball and OUT flashes on the big screen.

Georgia Wareham To Mannat Kashyap
Mannat Kashyap looks far better than a number 11 for sure. Tossed up on off, Mannat Kashyap moves to her leg and slices it past the short third fielder for a couple of runs. Alyssa Healy gently appeals for LBW. but the umpire is unmoved and the Aussie skipper asks for a review. It hits the pad first but the Ball Tracking shows the impact to be outside off and Mannat Kashyap survives.

Drinks break! Australia Women are a wicket away from completing the clean sweep and by doing so, extending their dominance over India Women in the ODI format. As far as India Women are concerned, they just have not been able to get going in the chase and it is about delaying the inevitable here.
