Right then! That is all we have from this game! The Test series stands at 1-0 with Pakistan leading and also getting 12 WTC points. We have one more Test and that will begin on 4th December at 10 am Local (4 am GMT). See you there. Cheers!
Babar Azam, the skipper of Pakistan, says that he is very happy with the show of his team. Adds that Shaheen Afridi and Hasan Ali had a brilliant game. Says that they would look to improve on bowling consistently when the opposition batters get a partnership going. Praises Abdullah Shafique for the way he built his innings and played on his debut. Also praises Abid Ali for the way he batted and delivered for his team in both the innings
Abid Ali is the PLAYER OF THE MATCH! He says that 330 runs was the target in the first innings and so they wanted to stay at the wicket and build partnerships. He adds that the domestic performances and experience helped him. He applauds Abdullah Shafique and says he played outstanding cricket and they both were helping each other and he adds that he is happy for him. He says that he is happy to win the match and it would have been great to get a century though.
Mominul Haque, the skipper of Bangladesh, says that they lost the game in the first hour of the first and second innings with the bat. Adds that the pitch remained a good one to bat on throughout and if they had 100 more runs, things could have been different. Says that they need to work on their batting going forward.
Stay tuned for the presentation.
Bangladesh started their second innings in the worst possible manner as their top order once again folded but Liton Das was once again responsible for their recovery as he scored a fifty. Shaheen Afridi took a 5-wicket haul for Pakistan to bowl out the hosts for 157. Bangladesh had a pretty big lead of 201 runs and bowling second on this pitch gave them a pretty good chance of defending it against Pakistan but once again, a brilliant opening stand between Abid Ali and Abdullah Shafique gave Bangladesh no chance of defending this total.
Pakistan though started brilliantly with the bat in their first innings. Abid Ali and Abdullah Shafique, with the former scoring a ton, provided them with a brilliant start and they were at 146 for 0 in reply to Bangladesh's 330. But Pakistan had a big collapse of their own as after the openers fell, the middle order folded very early and they were bowled out for 286. Taijul Islam was the wrecker-in-chief as his 7 wickets gave Bangladesh a handy 44-run lead on a pitch that was not very easy to bat on.
Earlier in the game, the bowlers of Pakistan demolished the top order of Bangladesh on Day 1 but the hosts recovered thanks to a brilliant ton by Liton Das and a knock of 91 runs by Mushfiqur Rahim. Had these two senior pros not stepped up, then Bangladesh would have had a low total in the first innings. The star with the ball was Hasan Ali as he took a 5-wicket haul.
Bangladesh, on the other hand, had a very disappointing innings with the ball. They would have wanted to get early wickets to put the middle order of Pakistan under pressure but that did not happen. Mehidy Hasan and Taijul Islam were the only bowlers to take wickets in this innings but it came quite late for them.
What a chase by Pakistan! Chasing more than 200 runs in the last two days was not going to be easy but they have made a mockery of the chase. Abdullah Shafique and Abid Ali were brilliant yet again and their opening stand made sure that they would win this game. Abdullah Shafique missed out on getting a well-deserved ton and so did Abid Ali. But they had done their job and Pakistan won it with ease. What a show by Pakistan in the last innings of the game.
What a game and what a victory for Pakistan! This was a brilliant Test match and both the sides fought hard but in the end, it is Pakistan, who get the win here. A clinical show by them and they have deserved this victory.

FOUR! Azhar Ali finishes it with a boundary! Mehidy Hasan bowls this down the leg side. Azhar Ali gets on his knees and sweeps it fine towards the long leg fence for a boundary. Azhar Ali and Babar Azam shake hands and the Pakistan dressing room is delighted. It has been a hard-fought win for them. Bangladesh and Pakistan share handshakes and both teams should be proud of the cricket they have played during the course of this game. A good advertisement for Test cricket but in the end, it is Pakistan, who have won this game by 8 wickets!

FOUR! Azhar Ali brings out a reverse sweep now! Tossed up on middle and leg. Azhar Ali reverse-sweeps and does it well as he gets it through point for a boundary. Just a boundary away now Pakistan.
