Harshit Rana has gone for plenty of runs in this over. Aiden Markram was the wrecker-in-chief. After smashing the India pacer for a four and a six to score his fifty, Markram smashed yet another six on the fifth ball of the over. A total of 18 runs came off it.

Hardik Pandya failed to get his bouncer right and Anrich Nortje pulled the short ball on the leg side for BIGGIE. That went over Arshdeep at deep backward square leg. 11 came off the over. Three overs left for South Africa in the innings.

The hosts could not have asked for a better display in the first 10 overs. Their pacers got good swing from the first ball and capitalised on it. Arshdeep Singh struck in the very first over, before Harshit Rana also provided India two wickets. The cherry on top was Hardik's world record of 100 T20I wickets and 1,000 plus runs.

A wicket for Hardik Pandya, and with it, he achieves a big world record. Hardik has become the first seamer to claim 100 wickets and score 1,000 or more runs in T20Is. It was a back-of-a-length delivery from Hardik that shaped away from Tristan Stubbs, taking the outside edge of his bat to the wicketkeeper.

Just three runs came off the third over from Arshdeep Singh. India are right on top of this game, thanks to the pair of Arshdeep and Harshit Rana, who have bowled brilliantly in the powerplay so far. Just one over left before the field restrictions ease down for India.

Harshit Rana has dismissed Dewald Brevis! It was a fuller ball outside off stump; Brevis went for a drive and ended up getting an inside edge onto the stumps. This is a good piece of bowling from the India youngster.

On the second ball of the over, a fuller delivery from Arshdeep Singh swung into Dewald Brevis and hit him on the front pad. Brevis got a thick inside edge on it before the ball hit his pad, but Arshdeep pleaded for an LBW. The umpire gave it not out, and Arshdeep convinced his captain to go upstairs only to lose a review. Former India player Sunil Gavaskar was left fuming over the rash DRS call from Arshdeep.

Harshit Rana, who has replaced Jasprit Bumrah in India's playing XI, has dismissed Quinton de Kock - the star of the second T20I. It was a fuller ball from Rana, angling into the stumps; de Kock tried to flick it on the leg side and missed it, getting out LBW. South Africa are in big trouble here. What a start for India!

An early wicket for Arshdeep Singh! This is a brilliant piece of bowling from the left-arm pacer. He got swing early on and set up Reeza Hendricks with two outswinging deliveries before pitching one on the line of the stumps and trapping the batter. The umpire was unconvinced over an LBW appeal, but India sent it upstairs only to get the on-field decision reversed.

Arshdeep Singh is ready with the new ball in hand. Quinton de Kock in on strike, Reeza Hendricks is at the other end. Here we go... The pacer starts with a fuller delivery around off-stump. He got a hint of an away swing and de Kock nudged it on the off-side for a single.

"Jasprit Bumrah has gone back home for personal reasons and will be unavailable for the game. An update on him joining the squad for the remaining matches will be provided in due course," said a BCCI press release.

Hopefully we get a good score. We have played a couple of games here, the boys are pretty excited. We have three changes tonight," said South Africa captain Aiden Markram.

"We're going to bowl first. It's been a good wicket all weekend and I don't think it'll change much, but there is a little bit of dew already and we feel it might get heavier later on. So, we're happy to bowl first. It's a wonderful place, wonderful people, and a fantastic ground. Hopefully when we bat and bowl, we can give everyone some good entertainment. Every game is important. The way they played in the second game showed the beauty of this sport. What matters most is how you come back, and that's what we want to do tonight, play our best game, enjoy ourselves, and be fearless. If we stay switched on for all three hours, that will be key for us. It looks like a good pitch. We've made two forced changes. Axar Patel misses out as he's unwell, and Jasprit Bumrah misses out due to personal reasons back home. Harshit Rana comes in, and Kuldeep Yadav comes in," said Suryakumar Yadav after toss.

India captain Suryakumar Yadav has won the toss and opted to bowl first against South Africa in third T20I in Dharamsala.

Suryakumar Yadav scored his last T20I fifty 20 innings back. Since, then he has performed poorly. The Indian captain will also be under pressure tonight. Including this game, India have just eight matches left before the T20 World Cup next year. They have very little time to get things right.

The countdown to save his place in the playing XI begins for a beleaguered Shubman Gill, who is likely to get three matches against South Africa to prove his worth before the Indian team management switches to a 'Plan B' ahead of the T20 World Cup, starting in six weeks.
