The bitter tussle between the RM Lodha panel and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), which is currently being heard by the Supreme Court, had some its share of lighter moments on Thursday amid some strong observations by the judges.
Like when BCCI's lawyer Kapil Sibal, a former union minister and senior Congress leader explained to the court that BCCI president "Anurag Thakur is a cricketer".
"We are all cricketers here, Mr. Sibal. I was captain of the Supreme Court judges team against the Bar," said Chief Justice of India TS Thakur.
The Chief Justice then asked Mr Sibal, "First tell us, are you a cricketer? Otherwise we can order that you should play for the bar association for the next match with judges."
