England will bounce back, says Moores

Bangalore:

England coach Peter Moores said on Saturday his team was capable of bouncing back against India in the seven-match series after losing the first three limited-overs internationals.

Moores said the loss in the third-one-dayer at Kanpur had left the visitors frustrated as the closely-contested match was curtailed by fading light and decided by the Duckworth-Lewis method.

India earlier won the first one-dayer by 158 runs and the second match by 54 runs.

England's players know they have to turn the tide in Sunday's day-night contest at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.

"We've got to do it here in Bangalore. If you lose this game, you lose the series," Moores said. "From now on, every game is a final."

England are getting closer to India with every outing in the one-day series, he added.

"We need a win to get belief in ourselves," Moores said.

England's selection options became fewer Saturday as it lost seamer Ryan Sidebottom for the rest of the series with a side-strain.

Sidebottom has not featured in any of the previous matches on this tour. He arrived in India with an Achilles injury picked up during last month's Stanford twenty20 competition in the West Indies, and then suffered a side-strain ahead of the third match.

He was sent for a second scan Saturday which revealed a slight tear, ruling him out of the remaining four matches.
