b Matt Parkinson
25.5 OUT! BOWLED! Boy o boy, that's a ripper from Matt 'Warne' Parkinson! Tell you what, Shadab Khan will be loving this in the dressing room. It is England who are going to bat second. Beautifully tossed up, wide outside off, Imam-ul-Haq reaches out to drive. But the ball pitches, spins in a mile, goes past the inside edge and hits the stumps! Just a little bit of rough outside the left-hander's off stump and that was enough for the ball to spin. The 92-run stand is broken and Imam walks back after a fabulous innings. 113/2

Fakhar Zaman | 6 | 14 | 1 | 0 | 42.85 |
c Zak Crawley b Saqib Mahmood
4.4 OUT! CAUGHT IN THE SLIPS! Fakhar Zaman goes early again. Saqib Mahmood strikes early again. The bounce does the southpaw in. On a good length, around middle, Zaman looks to push at it. But the away angle and the extra bounce, cramp him for room. The ball hits the top half of the bat, around the outside edge and flies to second slip. Good leaping catch by Zak Crawley. 21/1

Babar Azam C | 158 | 139 | 14 | 4 | 113.66 |
c Dawid Malan b Brydon Carse
49.2 OUT! CAUGHT! The Edgbaston crowd stands and applauds for what has been a magnificent knock from Babar Azam. Full ball outside off, Azam looks to lift it over the off side but it takes the top edge and goes to point where Dawid Malan takes a comfortable catch. 328/8
Mohammad Rizwan Wk | 74 | 58 | 8 | 0 | 127.58 |
c John Simpson b Brydon Carse
45.5 OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! Rizwan walks off and this ends a very big partnership. A wonderful one for Pakistan. Mohammad Rizwan departs after playing an excellent knock. He gave this innings real impetus. Shortish down the leg side, Rizwan looks to pull but seems to have gotten the gloves back to the keeper, John Simpson who takes it. England appeal but the umpire waits for a long while before he raises the finger. Rizwan does not bother reviewing as he walks straight back to the pavilion. The Ultra Edge rolls in and it shows that there was gloves on it. 292/3
Sohaib Maqsood | 8 | 5 | 2 | 0 | 160 |
c James Vince b Brydon Carse
47.2 OUT! CAUGHT! The tactics of bowling short works for Brydon Carse! The dangerous Maqsood goes cheaply. He can be a dangerous batsman at the death. Short ball on middle, Maqsood looks to pull but fails to get the required timing and the distance on it. It goes to deep mid-wicket where James Vince takes the catch. 305/4
Hasan Ali | 4 | 2 | 1 | 0 | 200 |
c Zak Crawley b Brydon Carse
47.4 OUT! CAUGHT! Carse gets his third wicket and there will be no fireworks from Hasan Ali in this game! Short ball around off, Hasan Ali clears his front leg and looks to pull but it takes the top edge and goes to mid-wicket where Zak Crawley settles under it and takes a comfortable catch. 309/5
Faheem Ashraf | 10 | 4 | 1 | 1 | 250 |
b Saqib Mahmood
48.5 OUT! TIMBER! Faheem Ashraf goes but he has done his job. Good length ball on off, Ashraf looks to swing it away but is early into the shot. He misses and the ball uproots the timber. Pakistan are losing some wickets towards the end. 324/6
Shadab Khan | 1 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
c John Simpson b Saqib Mahmood
49 OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! Another one bites the dust! Pakistan are losing wickets in search for a big finish! Full outside off, Shadab Khan looks to drive it to the off side but it goes off the outside edge to John Simpson who takes a comfortable catch. One more over to go. Saud Shakeel is the next man in. 324/7

Phil Salt | 37 | 22 | 7 | 0 | 168.18 |
c Fakhar Zaman b Haris Rauf
6.1 OUT! CAUGHT! Haris Rauf has struck on his very first ball! He is all over the moon and Salt takes the long walk back to the pavillion. Nothing special about the delivery, nothing too good or bad about the shot and nothing too difficult about the catch. Just like any normal day in our lives, this one comes just like that. It is a length ball, around off and Philip Salt just looked to whip it away. Nothing wrong with that. But just that the flight of the ball was obstructed by Fakhar Zaman at short mid-wicket! Did not have to move an inch. But a metre either side of him and it was a boundary. End of an entertaining innings from Salt but England need a partnership now. 279 needed from 263 balls. 53/2
Dawid Malan | 2 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
c Mohammad Rizwan b Hasan Ali
1.2 OUT! CAUGHT! What a ball from Hasan Ali and Dawid Malan goes for a duck again! He did not get a run in the second ODI and now falls for a duck. Pakistan needed this as they were put under the pump by Philip Salt in the first over and they will be pleased with this. Hasan runs in and bowls a length ball around off, angles it across. Malan looks to flick but gets an outside edge to Rizwan who takes the catch. Pakistan appeal and up goes the finger. 313 needed in 292 balls. Well, well, had Malan reviewed that, he would have been safe as the Ultra Edge shows no spike. This is the second time in this game that England have missed an opportunity. 19/1
Zak Crawley | 39 | 34 | 7 | 0 | 114.70 |
b Haris Rauf
12.5 OUT! TIMBER! Zak Crawley plays all around a straight delivery and Pakistan desperately needed that. Haris Rauf is pumped up. He runs in and bowls a pacy, full delivery on off, Crawley looks to play it on the leg side but misses. It hits his pads and it uproots the off stump. England 3 down now and they need 228 in 223 balls. 104/3
James Vince | 102 | 95 | 11 | 0 | 107.36 |
c Babar Azam b Haris Rauf
42.5 OUT! CAUGHT! James Vince has thrown it away but not before bringing England back in the game. Brilliant knock from Vince but he will be disappointed that he could not see his side win. Rauf bowls a full one on off, Vince looks to go over mid off but does not time it well. It has no elevation and Babar Azam takes a simple catch at mid off. GAME ON! 38 needed in 43 balls. 294/6
Ben Stokes C | 32 | 28 | 4 | 1 | 114.28 |
c Mohammad Rizwan b Shadab Khan
20 OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! Well third time lucky for Shadab and Pakistan! They finally manage to dislodge Stokes. Flashback Perth, 2013. Ben Stokes was playing his second Test and it was the Ashes, Down Under, in Perth. It was a phenomenal example of keeping then. It is a phenomenal example of keeping now. We shall describe this one first. It was the googly, outside off and Stokes looked to play the slog sweep. But all he managed was an under edge. Mohammad Rizwan showed excellent reflexes to take the catch and Stokes has to go! In Perth it was Brad Haddin the keeper and Nathan Lyon the bowler. Both occasions had one thing in common - the ball going away from Stokes as he was attempting a slog sweep. Pakistan should be favourites now. England need 181 to win from 180 balls. 151/4
John Simpson Wk | 3 | 12 | 0 | 0 | 25 |
lbw b Shadab Khan
23.3 OUT! LBW! Shadab Khan gets another as he dismisses John Simpson! Pakistan are now on top! Floated on off, it spins in. Simpson looks to flick but misses and gets hit on the pads. Pakistan appeal and up goes the finger. Simpson discusses with Vince whether to take the review and he takes it. The Ultra Edge shows no bat while the Ball Tracker shows all reds and Simpson goes, taking a review with him. 165/5
Lewis Gregory | 77 | 69 | 6 | 3 | 111.59 |
c Shadab Khan b Haris Rauf
44.1 OUT! CAUGHT! Lewis Gregory is gone and is there a twist in the tale? This game is not over by all means. There was an argument in the middle between Shadab Khan and Sarfaraz Ahmed but all's well. Short ball around off, Gregory looks to pull but it takes the top edge and it goes off the top edge towards point. Shadab Khan runs ahead and dives forward to take the catch. Shadab looks at Sarfaraz Ahmed and asks him why did you not go for the catch? Good catch in the end. 303/7
