Leach bowls that off stump line but it is not that fuller in length to drive off the front foot. However, Henry goes for it and does it aerially. He ends up hitting it straight to Zak Crawley at covers. He takes the catch comfortably and looks like New Zealand batters no longer want to hang in there and are going for everything now.  520/9

He was given the opportunity be the new management to bat a number 3 and he has justified his position here with a classy innings. He is disappointed with that shot but walks out with a standing ovation. This is a short delivery by Boult on middle. Pope goes for the hook shot. However, he gets a huge top edge towards fine leg and Henry at the deep runs forward a bit and takes a fine catch. 119.3 OUT! CAUGHT! Trent Boult strikes and end of a brilliant knock by Joe Root! A much-needed wicket for New Zealand, England were moving at a rapid rate this morning. Boult delivers a full ball which is slower in pace on off. Root drives but is a tad early because of the lack of the pace of the ball. It goes bit uppishly towards Southee at short covers and he takes a fine low catch. Root is disappointed but he has played another magnificent innings and walks off to a standing ovation.  516/6

On middle and back of a length angling it in, Jonny Bairstow looks to defend it but has probably missed it completely. However, the New Zealand players think otherwise and there is a loud appeal for a caught behind but the finger stays down. New Zealand go for a review and UltraEdge shows that the ball had hit his glove. Jonny Bairstow has to walk back and New Zealand get two wickets in quick succession..  344/4

94.5 OUT! CAUGHT! Ben Stokes departs! His quickfire cameo comes to an end. However, this was always going to be a risky option sweeping against the off spin of Michael Bracewell. He got away with it couple of balls back but this time has to pay the price. This is tossed up on off. Stokes goes for a big slog-sweep but ends up getting a huge top edge. Ben Foakes comes a long way down the track looking for a single but was sent back. Henry Nicholls throws it sharply to the bowler who clips the bails to send back a set-batter in Foakes.  527/8

Trent Boult has been outstanding in this test match and gets his 10th five-wicket haul in Test cricket. Will Young is a tad late into his charge, which allows Ollie Pope to set himself up and throw it to Ben Stokes at the non-striker's end, who collects the ball and is quick to take the bails off. Even a desperate dive could not save Young here.  131/4

33.4 OUT! CAUGHT! Ohh...a wicket against the run of play this, Conway was looking so good out there in the middle. However, he has to walk back now and Leach provides a crucial breakthrough. This is fuller on middle. Conway goes for a sweep shot this time after a reverse-sweep in the previous delivery. He, however, gets a top edge and the ball goes in the air towards deep square leg. Jonny Bairstow there moves forward and takes a fine low catch diving forward.  104/2

38 OUT! CAUGHT! Henry Nicholls perishes early and the floodgates are truly opened up now for England to capitalize on. Henry Nicholls provides the easiest of catches to backward point. It is a short and wide delievery outside off, Henry Nicholls could have seen it sail past him but fell into the trap. He goes for an expensive shot and finds Alex Lees who takes a sharp catch. 60.2 OUT! CAUGHT! England have broken this dreaded partnership! Short ball angled towards the shoulder of Tom Blundell. He could have let that one be but instead chooses to pull it. Does not get a good connection and ball goes aerially towards backward square leg where Ben Stokes takes a fine catch. He immediately points his finger towards the dressing room after taking that catch and the England coach Brendon McCullum gives a thumbs up to his skipper. He has however brought New Zealand to a position of considerable safety! Not all that full in line with the stumps, Michael Bracewell gets in no position to drive the ball straight. Daryl Mitchell guides it through backward point and runs hard for the first runs. He calls for the second, but as soon as he sees the ball decides against it, although it was a bit too late for Southee to get back. It's short and well-directed at the batter, at 83 mph, Jamieson hangs across on the back foot and attempts to pull. He fails to connect properly though and gets a top edge behind to the keeper. Foakes grabs a brilliant catch despite getting a bit wrong-footed and New Zealand lose their ninth wicket.  249/9

Boult speeds in and serves a length ball in the line of the stumps. It perhaps holds up a bit after landing as Root is early into his attempt to work it on the leg side. He gets a leading edge back towards the bowler and Boult needs no second invitation to catch it. He dives forward to complete a brilliant take and roars in delight. Root shakes his head on his way back to the pavilion.  56/3
