Australia vs England, Ashes 1st Test Day 2: Travis Head smashed a hundred to put Australia on top as Australia ended Day 2 of the ongoing first Ashes Test against England at a score of 343/7 and a lead of 196 runs at The Gabba in Brisbane on Thursday.  Head's century came after Ollie Robinson led England's fightback with three wickets to his name earlier in the day. David Warner posted a knock of 94 to help his side overhaul England's first innings total in the post-lunch session after Australia lost their first wicket early in the day. Marnus Labuschangne also scored a half-century and was dismissed for 74 in the day's second session after he combined with Warner to put Australia on top. In the morning session, England bowled a total of 31 overs. After bundling out England for 147, Australia got off to a bad start as opener Marcus Harris (3) failed to leave a mark with the bat and he was sent back to the pavilion in the sixth over by Robinson. Labuschagne then joined Warner in the middle and the duo kept on ticking the scoreboard along, ensuring that the hosts entered the second session of the day with nine wickets in hand. Warner also got a reprieve in the first over bowled by Ben Stokes as he was clean bowled off a no-ball and the left-handed batter survived. (SCORECARD)

Aus vs Eng 1st Test Day 2 highlights
We are back for England's second innings! Australian players stride out to the middle and take their respective fielding positions. Rory Burns and Haseeb Hameed are the openers for England. Mitchell Starc to start the proceedings with the ball.
So Australia have added another 82 runs to their tally to post a lead of 278. The host had England on the ropes all day long. Starc started the session and played a good innings of 35 and then Lyon chipped in some quick runs while Head continued to blossom on the other end, he scored 150 and carried on to rub more salt on England's wounds. Earlier in the innings, it was the partnership of Warner and Labuschagne that troubled them, both showed good composure but failed to reach the triple-digit score with Warner just missing by 6 runs. Wickets started tumbling down and it looked like England founded their rhythm until Head came out to bat. He was in a different mood as he batted at a good strike rate and just asked the tail-enders to support him from the other end. Things started slipping again for England as they failed to take the remaining three wickets quickly. Lately, England were made to work hard to scalp the wickets and now it is their batters' job to start on a front foot and at least stay compact until the Lunch break.
OUT! BOWLED! Finally, England get their man and end Australia's innings as well. Travis Head makes room for himself very early and exposes his stumps. Mark Wood fires a straight ball, on the stumps. Travis Head tries to carve it over covers but he backed way too far and the ball was out of his reach. It sends the stumps flying and Travis Head walks back to the pavilion on the back of an excellent knock. Australia finish with 425 and have a lead of 278 runs!
DROPPED! That has been the story for England so far! Fuller this time, on middle, another off-pace delivery. Travis Head moves to the off side and flicks it uppishly towards deep mid-wicket. Haseeb Hameed charges ahead to take the catch. Dives in front but palms it out. The batters don't run though as Head wants to face as many deliveries as possible.
Good-length ball, outside off. Took the pace off the ball. Travis Head looks to have a poke at it but drops his bat at the end.
Full ball, outside off. Josh Hazlewood defends off the front foot.
Tossed up, outside off. Hazlewood rocks back and blocks it out.
Full and outside off. Josh Hazlewood prods across and defends it to covers.
Outside off. Head mistimes his sweep to square leg for a quick single.
Full again, outside off. Head tries to sweep but gets an inside edge onto the pads.
