Commonwealth Games 2014: Indian President Congratulates Medal Winners
In separate letters, Indian President Pranab Mukherjee congratulated India's Commonwealth Games 2014 medal winners saying that the nation is proud of their performances.

President Pranab Mukherjee on Saturday congratulated Indian sportspersons for winning medals at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. (Medal tally)
Mukherjee congratulated Seema Punia, Sharath Kamal, Anthony Amalraj and Pinki Rani Jangra for winning medals in their respective games and wished them "very best for all future endeavours".
In separate letters, Mukherjee said: "The nation is proud of their performances." (Day 10 updates)
Seema Punia won a silver medal in women's discus throw while Sharath Kamal and Anthony Amalraj bagged the silver in men's doubles table tennis. Pinki Jangra brought home a bronze medal in women's 48-51 kg boxing.
The President, earlier in the day, had congratulated other sportspersons like Yogeshwar Dutt, Babita Kumari, Vikas Gowda, Geetika Jakhar, Dipa Karmakar and Pawan Kumar for their performances.
Dutt (men's freestyle 65 kg) and Kumari (women's freestyle 55 kg) struck gold medals, Jhakar (women's freestyle 63 kg) won a silver, and Kumar (men's freestyle 86 kg) had to settle for a bronze medal in wrestling.
Gowda won gold in discus throw while Karmarkar became the first Indian woman gymnast to win a medal at the Commonwealth Games by bagging a bronze in the vault event.
