2014 Commonwealth Games Glasgow Day 5 Highlights: Jitu Rai Shoots Gold, Gagan Narang, Gurpal Singh and Vikas Thakur Lift Silver
India added four more medals to its Commonwealth Games 2014 tally on Day 5 with shooter Jitu Rai and Gurpal Singh winning silver in the 50m pistol event, and Gagan Narang winning silver in the 50m Rifle Prone event. Weightlifter Vikas Thakur added another silver when he came second in the 85kg category late on Day 5. Catch all the highlights here.

14:13 (IST): The chances of a bronze medal slipping from India's grasp as Ponnappa and Gurusaidutt lose their 2nd game vs Singapore by the same margin to go 2-0 down in the best of three games. Singapore lead India 1-0 in the five-match series.
13:57 (IST): Jitu Rai is currently leading the 50m pistol men's qualification with 457 points. Gurpal Singh is in 6th place with 431 points.
13:54 (IST): India's Ashwini Ponnappa and Gurusaidutt lose the first game of the badminton mixed team bronze medal match vs Singapore 21-19.
India's big boys will gun for glory at the Barry Buddon Shooting Range on Monday. Olympic silver medallist Vijay Kumar will lead India's challenge in the 25m rapid fire pistol event while teammate Gagan Narang, bronze winner in the 2012 London Games, will be the man to watch in the 50m rifle prone.
India's reputation in world shooting will be tested at large today. While Abhinav Bindra has returned home after winning his fourth Commonwealth Games gold, Vijay Kumar and Narang will be joined by veteran stars Joydeep Karmakar (50m rifle prone), Manavjit Singh Sandhu and Mansher Singh (Men's trap).

Shreyasi Singh, who won the silver in women's double trap on Sunday, will get a chance to win the gold today. She and Seema Tomar will represent India in the women's trap event. Other Indians on show will be Harpreet Singh (25m rapid fire pistol), Lajja Gauswami and Meena Kumari in women's 50m rifle prone.

India's weightlifter continue to add the golden lining. On Sunday, it was double delight as Sathish Sivalingam won the gold and Ravi Katulu the silver in the 77kg Group A at the Clyde Auditorium. Sathish lifted a total of 328 kg to set a Games Record while Ravi got the silver with a total lift of 317 kg. This should spur Vikas Thakur tonight in the men's 85 kg class.
A bronze is expected in men's team table tennis. India will play Nigeria for the third place after losing to England 3-1. India's top singles player Achanta Sharath Kamal was shocked by Liam Pitchford, who is ranked five places below, in the opening match Sunday night. Kamal fought hard but eventually lost 4-11, 11-8, 11-9, 5-11, 6-11. England will take on Singapore for the gold.
In badminton, India will play Singapore for the bronze in the mixed teams event. Considering India's might in Asian badminton, this has not been an exciting show.
