Sofia, Bulgaria :
Experts are calling this as one of the most entertaining World Championship finals in a long while. It's certainly poised on a knife's edge with both Viswanathan Anand and Vesselin Topalov tied at 5.5 points each.
"I would say its 50-50, in my opinion we'll see tiebreaks," Grandmaster Robert Fontaine said.
"Of course I hope Topalov wins before that because we know how strong Vishy is in rapid and blitz. But I think Topalov has his chances also in the tie-breaks," Antoaneta Stefanova, Former Womens World Chess Champion said.
Anand has had his fair share of excitement in the build-up to this title defence. The volcanic ash across Europe meant he had to undergo a 40 hour journey by road to get to Bulgaria. He's travelled even further in the subsequent two weeks. Hopefully a world title just like this one in 2008 lies at the end of the journey.
