Pakistan spinner Abdul Rehman fails dope test

Pakistan spinner Abdul Rehman has failed a doping test during the English county championship while representing Somerset, an official of the Pakistan Cricket Board said Wednesday.

Pakistan spinner Abdul Rehman has failed a doping test during the English county championship while representing Somerset, an official of the Pakistan Cricket Board said Wednesday.

Rehman has been withdrawn from the Sialkot Stallions team which is scheduled to participate in next week's Champions League Twenty20 event in South Africa.

A PCB official said that England and Wales Cricket Board had informed them that Rehman has failed a doping test during a county match in August.

The official spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to media.
