Baghdad:
Iraqi boxers aiming for a spot in the 2004 Olympic team completed their last day of training under US coach Maurice "Termite" Watkins on Sunday.
The 19 boxers trained for two months under Watkins, a contractor who came to Iraq to fight bugs and insects but ended up sharing his knowledge of the sport with eager sportsmen.
The training was sponsored by the Coalition forces.
The best boxers will travel to Kuwait on Monday and then to the Phillipines for the Olympic qualifiers.
The others will also travel to Hungry where they will take part in a tournament. (AP)
