She has taken Indian badminton to newer heights and now get set to see Olympic bronze medallist Saina Nehwal fly in a jet fighter this afternoon.
After cricketers Sachin Tendulkar and MS Dhoni, it's now Saina's turn to have a brush with Indian Armed Forces' way of life.
The Olympic medallist has been invited as a special guest for the closing ceremony of the Inter Squadron Sports Championship at the Air Force Academy in Dundigal, Andhra Pradesh on September 28.
Nehwal, who recently signed up a Rs 40-crore deal with sports management firm, will be given a sortie experience on a Kiran trainer aircraft.
Nehwal will be present at the closing ceremony and play an exhibition match, apart from interacting with the Air Force cadets there.
