Lakshya Sen will be action up next, as far as the Indian challenge is concerned. He will square off with Denmark's Anders Antonsen in the men's singles second round tie.
Se-young is cruising! The point gap is now 8 and she only needs a handful to secure her passage into the next round. For the unversed, Se-young won the BWF French Open title last week in Paris.
The Korean top seed has opened up a three-point gap at the mid-way break over Sindhu, who seems to be struggling with her netplay and drop shots. Se-young has been all over her so far.
1-0 Se-young! Tremendous rally to get us underway. Sindhu does well to force the Korean with a drop shot, but pull her final shot just wide of the tramline
Lakshya Sen will also be in action in the men's singles second round, while men's doubles top seeds Satwik-Chirag will also take the center court later in the day
