China's men beat Denmark 3-1 to win the 2004 Thomas Cup badminton tournament in Jakarta, Indonesia.

China's men beat Denmark 3-1 to win the 2004 Thomas Cup badminton tournament in Jakarta, Indonesia. It was China's fifth win in the best-of-five matches Thomas Cup. World number one Lin Dan beat Denmark's top shuttler Peter Gade. Then the world's top doubles combination of Lars Paaske and Jonas Rasmussen combined for a straight sets 17-16, 15-6 win over Cai Yun and Fu Haifeng in just 75 minutes. World number four Bao Chunlai beat 12th ranked Kenneth Jonassen in the day's second singles game, which turned out to be a thriller.
