Asian Games Gold medallist in Javelin Annu Rani is peaking ahead of the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo next month.

Annu Rani produced a season-best effort of 62.92m to became the first Indian woman to win an Asian Games gold in javelin throw.

Annu Rani sent the spear to a distance of 60m in her fourth attempt to win a bronze medal for the country.

Indian athlete Annu Rani on Saturday finished seventh in the women's javelin throw final at the World Athletics Championships with a best throw of 61.12m.

World Athletics Championships: Annu Rani qualified for the javelin throw finals with a best attempt throw of 59.60m.
