After winning all of their group games, the Super Four has gone totally awry for Sri Lanka. They've lost both games, and need a miracle to qualify from here. Sri Lanka need to beat India in their final match, and hope that at least two other teams stay on 2 points as well.

Pakistan needed to put on a good show, and they have done so. Apart from a period of 17 balls, when they lost four wickets, they dominated Sri Lanka today. They keep their final hopes firmly alive, and will likely qualify if they beat Bangladesh in their final game.

Pakistan beat Sri Lanka by 5 wickets! A maximum over long-on by Nawaz to seal it. An excellent partnership between Nawaz and Talat to rescue Pakistan and take them to victory. Nawaz stays unbeaten on 38 runs off 24 balls.

Given the fact that Pakistan's only two wins in the Asia Cup have come batting first, this is a bold choice made by Salman Ali Agha - to bowl first today. As per Simon Doull, the Abu Dhabi pitch is a belter, meaning Pakistan could well need to chase 180+.

We are just 10 minutes away from toss time at the Pakistan vs Sri Lanka match. It will be interesting to see what the toss-winning captain chooses to do. Sri Lanka have been excellent chasers so far in the tournament, while Pakistan have won their two games batting first!

The biggest positive for Sri Lanka from their Bangladesh defeat was the return to form of veteran all-rounder Dasun Shanaka. Shanaka smashed 64 runs off just 37 balls against Bangladesh, single-handedly carrying Sri Lanka to a respectable total.

Sri Lanka had had a near-perfect Asia Cup in the group stages, winning all three matches. However, they ended up losing to Bangladesh in their first Super Four game. Victory today could once again put Sri Lanka on the right path before their clash against India.

Pakistan lost for the second time to India in the space of 7 days in their last game. Now, they face the difficult task of having to beat Sri Lanka, who were the Asia Cup T20 champions in 2022. Pakistan will need to fire on all cylinders to win today.

Pakistan and Sri Lanka have both begun their Super Four journey with a defeat. Lose today, and they'll be on two defeats from their first two matches. The loser of today's game will only be able to achieve a maximum of 2 points, which likely won't be enough for qualification to the final.
