Wimbledon:

US Open golf champion Rory McIlroy has met Andy Murray at Wimbledon and told him to "keep doing what you're doing."

The 22-year-old McIlroy says he is a "big tennis fan." He met Murray and John McEnroe before the Scot began his practice session on Tuesday.

McIlroy overcame a collapse at the Masters in April to win the U.S. Open at Congressional earlier this month by eight shots for his first major title.

He says he doesn't have any advice for Murray, who is still seeking his first Grand Slam title, saying the Scot was "playing awesome."

McIlroy says he would be practicing later this week before traveling to Germany to watch British boxer David Haye's heavyweight title fight against Wladimir Klitschko.
