Saikhom Mirabai Chanu Profile
Saikhom Mirabau Chanu – silver medallist at the Tokyo Olympics – will once again be India’s sole representative in weightlifting. Mirabai’s incredible effort in Tokyo saw her clinch silver in the women’s 49 kg event, and she is again one of India’s best prospects for a medal. Since that historic medal, Mirabai has won silver at the 2022 World Championships and the 2022 Commonwealth Games. Weightlifting is one of the latter events in Paris 2024, and Mirabai’s challenge takes place on August 7.
