Tipsarevic into St. Petersburg Open final

Janko Tipsarevic advanced to his second final in as many weeks, beating Alex Bogomolov Jr. 6-2, 6-1 at the St. Petersburg Open on Saturday.

Janko Tipsarevic advanced to his second final in as many weeks, beating Alex Bogomolov Jr. 6-2, 6-1 at the St. Petersburg Open on Saturday.

The second-seeded Tipsarevic won eight straight games to close out the first set and take a 5-0 lead in the second. Last Sunday, he won his second career title at the Kremlin Cup.

The other semifinal later on Saturday is between fourth-seeded Marin Cilic and 2004 winner Mikhail Youzhny.
