Sania Mirza's campaign at the Dubai Tennis Championships ended on a disappointing note as, after singles, the Indian also crashed out of the doubles event on Tuesday.
Sania and Spaniard Virginia Ruano Pascual, seeded seventh, lost 3-6 3-6 to unseeded Chinese combination of Jie Zheng and Yung-Jan Chan in the first round.
Sania, who complained of a old wrist problem, had exited from the singles yesterday after suffering a 3-6 4-6 first round defeat at the hands of Anabel Medina Garrigues of Spain.
