Sania out of Nasdaq 100

Anna Tatishvili of Georgia beat Indian tennis star Sania Mirza 7-6 (8/6), 1-6, 7-6 (10/8) in the in the First round of the Nasdaq 100 event in Miami.

Wild card entrant Anna Tatishvili of Georgia beat Indian tennis star Sania Mirza 7-6 (8/6), 1-6, 7-6 (10/8) in the in the First round of the Nasdaq 100 event in Miami on Thursday. This was one of the worst defeats in Mirza's career as the world number 41 has lost to a player ranked 1144 in the world. Sania seen here winning her first round match in the US open last year was named the 'Newcomer of the Year' by the WTA for winning the Hyderabad Open and ending the year ranked a career-best 31. The Hyderabadi was recently knocked out in the third round of the Pacific Life Open after failing to go beyond the second round of any other WTA event this year.
