Prakash advances in singles, ousted in doubles in Vancouver

Prakash Amritraj advanced to the second round of the USD 1,00,000 Vancouver Open ATP event with a straight set win against Croat Ivan Dodig but his doubles journey ended in the opener itself.
The unseeded Indian won 7-5, 6-3 to set up his next match against Cyprus star and third seed Marcos Baghdatis.
However, while teaming up Pakistani Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi, seeded third, he lost the opening match of the doubles event 2-6, 2-6 to unseeded Kyu Tae Im of Korea and Marinko Matosevic of Australia.
Also making an early exit was Harsh Mankad and his American partner David Martin after losing their first round 6-7(7), 2-6 to Israeli pair of Amir Hadad and Harel Levy.
