Former world number two Paula Badosa has withdrawn from this week's Wuhan Open, organisers said on Tuesday, amid a racism row over an online photo.
It will be Aryna Sabalenka and Paula Badosa's seventh meeting but first at a Grand Slam.
Aryna Sabalenka had said she was "heartbroken" by the death of former boyfriend Konstantin Koltsov in a statement on Wednesday, where she revealed they had not been a couple at the time of his death.
Paula Badosa, a close-friend of Aryna Sabalenka's, said the match would be "uncomfortable".
