What he's achieved, the last 12 months is phenomenal, winning all the Grand Slams in one year is an amazing achievement. It's so rare in tennis, and for me personally, it sucks to lose the match, but I'm proud to have been part of today."
Novak Djokovic: "It's a very special moment, the biggest of my career. It's nice to see the sun has finally come out after ten days of rain, and it was great to see many fans for this final and I hope you enjoyed watching our tennis. Four French Open finals losses in the last five years. No Rafael Nadal or Roger Federer in this edition. This is a golden opportunity for Djokovic, the No.1 seed, to join an illustrious list and complete the career Grand Slam.
However, Andy Murray is known to spoil the party. The Brit has won two Grand Slam titles, the US Open in 2012 and Wimbledon in 2013. His opponent in the two finals was Djokovic. Heading into the final, Murray will be going all out to prevent Djokovic from completing the set.
Djokovic Determined To Erase the Bogey
Djokovic has a head-to-head record of 23-10 against Murray and a 4-2 advantage in Grand Slam finals. However, heading into the French Open, the Serb suffered a loss in the Rome Masters final to Murray and he will be aware that the Brit will be no pushover.
The urge to win at Roland Garros is deep for Djokovic. After suffering four finals losses, three to Nadal and one to Stanislas Wawrinka, this edition gives him a chance to complete the Golden slam, with the Olympics coming up in August.

Murray Buoyed By Recent Performance
Heading into the French Open, Murray achieved his first win on clay against Djokovic when he achieved a 6-3, 6-3 win in the final. The British player will be buoyed by his performances against Djokovic in Grand Slam finals but he will be aware that Djokovic will be gunning for the only title that has eluded him so far.
A win for Murray prolongs Djokovic's agony and puts him on course to complete a career Grand Slam of his own.
