IPTL: Honoured to Have Played with Roger Federer, Says Sania Mirza
Roger Federer, who was in New Delhi for the International Premier Tennis League from December 6, won all three games for the Indian Aces in which he featured on Sunday.

Indian women's tennis ace Sania Mirza took to twitter to express her excitement, saying she felt "honoured" to play alongside Swiss legend Roger Federer in an encounter against Singapore Slammers at the International Premier Tennis League (IPTL) here on Sunday. Federer, who has been in town for the IPTL from December 6, won all three games for the Indian Aces in which he featured on Sunday.
An ecstatic Mirza wrote on her Twitter handle: "Honoured, I had the best seat in the house @rogerfederer was on fire today on the court and with strategies off it."
Bopanna too expressed his delight when he wrote on his Twitter handle: "It was a great honour to have Roger Federer & Pete Sampras in Delhi, Its even better they are a part of our team @IndianAces.@iptl."
Pete Sampras, also playing for the Indian Aces, however, lost his game to Australian legend Patrick Rafter in the opening legend's match. (Roger Federer Lukewarm on IPTL Rules After Making Debut)
Federer first paired up with Sania, and eased past the pair of Bruno Soares and Daniela Hantuchova 6-0, before beating Czech Tomas Berdych in his singles match.
In his last match he teamed up with Rohan Bopanna to beat the team of Nick Kyrgios and Lleyton Hewitt 6-1 in the men's doubles match.
Sania, who teamed up with Federer for the first time, said she had the best seat in the house, as she witnessed first hand the rampant Swiss maestro showing his brilliance.
